Social Mapping of the Specific Urban Context
Collective Home Place, for Algerian community - specifically women and children- in Blackstock Rd, London is an attempt to connect individual and collective memory to public space through the game Boukala. This pre-colonial old ritual game engaged deeply with hopes and wishes in their society, is spatially redesigned in different scales of urban furniture and a public building to create a sense of locally belonging.

The renovation of an existing office building (ParsiTech) to a cultural centre.
The design is a figurative presentations of the aim and the name of the centre :

The interior partitions are designed to be ornamented with hand-made acrylic statues.

A synergy of architecture and theatre, on the basis of creating space
Concerning contemporary theatrical theories, in two major categories, I have created my design as a composition of two essential structures.The first form is Black box, empty frame to be shaped and changed by the users and the second is the narrative part which is presented as an statue to be watched.The arangement of spaces is also based on new theatrical theories and trends,being more transparent and open to public and inviting people to engage in backstage activities.
